MY TREKKING GEAR.

I am in no way an authority on selecting the right gear for the right trip.  I did however ask a lot of questions and in return got some well considered opinions from experts at local outdoor gear retailers.I started with a decent pair of boots that would see me "across all of it".  I settled with Salomon boots and they have been great so far as I work them in.

Anyone heading across the UK in September should have a good raincoat.  I settled on a good old MEC jacket that will hopefully suit the job.

A small pack usually means a light pack..  Well this 40 L Gregory is great.  It is however quite heavy and more than I currently have the will to carry.

And last but not least is a decent pair of trekking poles.  I settled on these Black Diamonds.
